About Black Forest

Black Forest is located in El Paso County approximately 15 miles north east of Colorado Springs. It's name was derived from having a high density of Ponderosa Pines. Many properties are on at least 5 acres and rely on well and septic for water and sewer. Black Forest is an ideal area for people who enjoy life in the woods and desire privacy, while having easy access to "town". Many lots offer views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range and are also zoned for horses. Some homes date back to the 1800s while much remodeling and new construction continues today. The area is very popular and also large as it covers three school districts; Academy School District 20, Falcon School District 49 and Lewis Palmer School District 38.
