About Fountain/ Security/ Widefield

The city of Fountain is named for Fountain Creek, which runs from the Ute Pass area at the base of Pikes Peak, south and east to Pueblo, where it joins up with the Arkansas River. The Fountain Valley area is located about 15 minutes south of downtown Colorado Springs and is close to the Fort Carson Army Post with easy access to Peterson AFB as well. Despite a lot of growth and development, the area maintains that small town charm. This fast growing area is expanding to the east bringing in new housing opportunities, new entertainment, and new shopping and dining. Fountain School District 8 and Widefield School District 3 serves this area.
