Northeast Colorado Springs is located in an area east of I-25, west of Academy Boulevard, and north of Downtown Colorado Springs, about 10 minutes from the Air Force Academy and 20 minutes from Fort Carson and Shriever AFB. Located in the heart of Colorado Springs the Northeastern part of town is home to many neighborhoods where you will find both newer luxury homes as well as older more affordable homes and is where the University of Colorado is located. This centrally located area offers convenient access to Academy Blvd and Powers Blvd, and is close to ample shopping, entertainment, and dining options. The area is also home of the beautiful Pulpit Rock Park and northern section of Palmer Park offering fantastic hiking, biking, and beautiful mountain and city views. University Park is the largest neighborhood in the area which backs to the extensive trails of the Austin Bluffs open space and trails that connect the University Park, Pulpit Rock, and Austin Bluff neighborhoods. School District 11 serves this area.
