About Powers

The Powers area is located on the eastern edge of Colorado Springs, bordered to the west by Powers Blvd., to the east by Marksheffel Road, and is south of Woodmen Rd. and north of the Colorado Springs Airport. This area derives its name from Powers Blvd which is a major North/South artery east of Academy Blvd called the Powers Corridor. The Powers area is attractive to military families as it includes affordable housing with close access to Peterson AFB and Shriever AFB, and is only about a 20 minute drive to Ft Carson. The powers area is also close to a variety of new shopping centers, new restaurants, and entertainment. Falcon School District 49 and Colorado Springs School District 11 serve the area.
